Kim Tyler Designs subscribes to the unusual and inventive when it comes to approaching interiors and textile design. Rich color, airy neutrals, high quality materials and rich textures entwine and enfold to give her interiors an energetic dimension. Each project pursues the same vision to manifest the “art’ in design.
Tyler has worked in residential interior design since 2000. Her previous work includes co-ownership of Form Design Studio, a firm that concentrated on interior design and renovation management; designing/manufacturing SoSew Designs, a line of children's clothing later adding women's accessories; and converting raw factory spaces in Williamsburg into living/working lofts.
She developed a line of knitted lamp bases for New-York based trans-LUXE in 2010 and has recently developed a luxury line of machine-knitted throws, pillows, and blankets made in the USA.
